The Gentlemen Of Harmony Chapter L-026 of the Barbershop Harmony Society The Simcoe Gentlemen of Harmony is a chapter of the International Barbershop Harmony Society. The society has over 30,000 members worldwide. We are a 70 member fraternal male chorus singing four part acappella harmony for the benefit of our communities and for personal enjoyment and fellowship. Members come from all walks of life. We became a “chartered” chapter September 24, 1954 and are fortunate to have one of our charter members still singing with us. We are also fortunate to have a dedicated director and teaching team lead by Dr. Raymond Danley. Dr. Danley has lead and directed choruses to numerous international medal winning performances and is the only Canadian director to lead a Canadian chorus to a Gold finish at international competitions. We are just ordinary guys who like to sing. Most of us are not educated in music or vocal skills but have learned some of these things in our hobby. We welcome interested guests to join us Tuesdays at 7:00PM. At Old Windham Church in Simcoe. Phone 519-426-6850 for inquiries and information. Mission Statement Gentlemen of Harmony To seek out, encourage and embrace all those who may wish to share the joy and fraternal camaraderie of singing Barbershop Harmony. To strive for constant growth and enrichment of the Barbershop experience within our chapter, our communities and the Barbershop Harmony Society. We are "Ordinary Guys Making Extraodinary Music" |
